Great news!

Just found out that Richard's painting, "Beijing Afternoon" will be exhibited at Salon International 2012 at the Greenhouse Gallery of Fine Art in San Antonio, Texas!

This painting is part of Richard's series of paintings: "CHINA: Modern Life in an Ancient Culture." It was inspired by our trip to China. My favorite part? The teapots in the shop window.

Valerie's Attempt at Pondering: I Am Such a Slow Learner

Found "Lead Kindly Light" in a great blog post about becoming a true believer.

Thanks, Valerie!

For the Soul

Today's post shows off some of Richard's latest religious work. These two paintings were painted last year, but they have been off at shows so I'm just getting them posted. They both hung in the Springville Museum of Art for the fall Religious and Spiritual Art Show.

The first picture is of the Savior. It is titled "Lead Kindly Light." Amid the encircling gloom, Jesus Christ stands always at the ready to lead us with His light. Whatever our trouble, we can call upon His holy name and He will lead us step by step “till the night is gone” and morning breaks again.
